The shoulder strap length is perfect the purse hangs under my arm in just the right place. I think this purse will last me a long time. But that is really a very minor design flaw. I would much rather have a shorter lightweight flap. The hardware on it is too heavy so the flap tends not to lay right I always have to snap it shut otherwise it flops around. It's a bit too slouchy, and without a zip top, things fall out of it easily. Overall, still a great purse and I will be ordering Nine West products again. It's only small portions that are doing this but my last Nine West purse went about 8 months of constant use before any wear and tear started to show. On the bottom, outside of the purse though, I have noticed the start of some flaking and peeling of the fabric. The purse as a whole is still in great condition when considering zippers, straps, lining, and stitching. I was originally worried about the flap falling apart after several months use, but it is still it great shape. I use my purse everyday and it almost always filled to the brim with items.
